Oh My Heart

“It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver or gold.” – Psalm 119:71-72

Tonight, I lay in my bed with a full stomach, a roof over my head and my family safe and sound. Those are three things I once wasn’t able to say.

Sometimes, when I get overwhelmed by my schoolwork and extracurriculars, I forget about the blessings that I once fell to my knees for. These knees couldn’t even walk a couple years ago. How crazy to think I would forget to be thankful for just that.

Good night, dear friends. Don’t forget to take a moment to be thankful for what you once cried out for.

Saudade

One thousand words fly by at the speed of sound, causing me to lose my grip on a single one.
